Our Veteran Community suffers 22+ Suicides per day, Homelessness and constant struggles adapting to civilian life. We are proactive and help our Veterans transition using our 6 month program teaching financial classes, software engineering and IT, college classes, VA Navigation, Combat Trauma Christ Based classes and much more.

ANNOUCEMENT

The creation of Transition Outside the Wire had one primary goal: to help our veterans find their purpose after service and provide them with the tools they need to excel in civilian life. I still believe deeply in our mission to be proactive, assisting veterans directly after their service rather than waiting until they are in crisis to receive help. At no point have any of our board members received a paycheck; our efforts have been entirely selfless and focused on the veterans we serve. Over the past six years, we've assisted 208 veterans, thanks to the support of everyday Americans like you and the relentless dedication of our staff.

This journey has not been without sacrifice and loss. Sean Huffman, an Army veteran, lost his life to cancer in 2020, and Brian Alvarado, a Marine veteran, recently succumbed to the same disease. Additionally, my wife and co-founder of Transition Outside the Wire, Shannon Francis, has been diagnosed with lung cancer. My focus must now shift to her needs as her loving husband and caregiver.

I have never asked for help before, but the financial burden that cancer imposes is overwhelming for us, and we need assistance. With my health also suffering, it is crucial for me to be fully present for my wife as we navigate her treatment. While we continue to support veterans to the best of our ability, we cannot maintain the same level of support until we have overcome this challenging disease.

Please consider donating today if you can, or at the very least, say a prayer for my amazing wife and veteran servant, Shannon Francis-West. God bless and Semper Fi
