Charley C. McMurtry Jr. 12/24/1969-02/05/2021

Charley was born December 24, 1969. He was a brother to 10 siblings and was a resident of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He was married to Ann McMurtry, a US Army veteran and father to King Joshua Shobe. Charley was a Marine Corp Veteran husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, provider and great man. He was a graduate of Long Beach City College as a Production and Studio Recording Engineer. He was eclectic as a business owner, writer, essayist, artist, musician, poet, songwriter, author and his volunteerism in the community was a top priority in his life. He loved his veteran family, members of the Armed Forces her served and all he volunteered to help with the change process. One of his greatest joys and accomplishments was opening the Downtown Los Angeles Apparel store that he partnered with his nephew Willie “Tee4” Mitchell whom he loved with his whole heart. He touched and changed many lives in a loving, supportive, spiritual way. Charley was a family man, a gentle giant who could talk and bring out the best in people. Taken from us too soon, he will forever be loved and missed by all.
