Major Christopher Ryan Nogle

Major Christopher Ryan Nogle was born on 4 August 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Dean and Darlene Nogle. He was the second of four boys: older brother, Kevin, and younger brothers, Taylor and Jordan. Christopher grew up an Army kid and lived in Hawaii, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Germany, Bahrain, and Florida.

Christopher graduated from UCF and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps in MAY 2005. He served in a variety of leadership and staff positions, most recently served as the USINDOPACOM Mission Assistance Branch Chief (J34) and as the USINDOPACOM Director of Operations Executive Assistant, Camo Smith, Hawaii (AUG - DEC 2018).

MAJ Nogle’s previous assignments include Chief, Critical Infrastructure Protection Branch, HQ, USINDOPACOM, Camp Smith, HI (JUL 2017 - AUG 2018) CO and S-3, 759th Military Police Battalion, Fort Carson, CO (JUL 2015 - JUN 2017), Small Group Leader/Instructor, MP CCC, US Army Military Police School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (MAR 2012 - MAY 2014), Commander, 552d Military Police Company, Schofield Barracks, HI and Kandahar, Afghanistan (JUN 2010 - JAN 2012), Assistant S-3 (CHOPS), 728 Military Police Battalion, Schofield Barracks, HI (DEC 2009 - JUN 2010), Assistant S-3 (OPS), 385th Military Police Battalion, Fort Stewart, GA (APR 2008 - APR 2009), and Platoon Leader, 293rd MP Co, Fort Stewart, GA and Muqdadiyah, Iraq (SEP 2005 - APR 2008).

MAJ Nogle’s military education includes the Joint and Combined Wardare School, Norfolk, VA (2018), the Advances Security Cooperation Course, Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (2017), the Command and General Staff Officer’s Course, Fort Leavenworth, KS (2015), the Military Police Captains Career Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2009), the Military Police Officer Basic Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2005), and the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, GA (2002).

Christopher’s civilian education includes a Master’s of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management, Webster University, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2009) and a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice, University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL (2005).

MAJ Nogle’s awards include the Bronze Star with Valor Device, the Bronze Star (1 OLC), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghan Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), the Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2), the NATO Medal (Non-Article 5), the Valorous Unit Award (1 OLC), the Order of Marechaussee Bronze Medal, the Combat Action Badge, and the Basic Parachutist’s Badge.

Christopher was a natural athlete and played many sports, including football, baseball, soccer, and surfing. He also played the drums.

Christopher is survived by his parents, Dean and Darlene Nogle, his brothers, Kevin, Taylor, and Jordan, sister-in-law, Megan, his children, Kaila and Ryan, his estranged wife, Randilyn, nephew Tristan, niece Ella, grandmother Jacqueline Nogle, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
